Shut out the noise from the world around you. You Shut out the noise from the world around you. You have the power to protect your peace!

Being a new mom in today’s world can be hard. The noise is everywhere and support can be hard to find. The laws in our country don’t support new families. Social media pushes unrealistic expectations of motherhood. And we don’t live in those tight knit communities like we used to.

So in the quiet, messy, beautiful moments of early motherhood — when everything feels new, uncertain, and overwhelming…take control and protect your peace!

It’s in the….

The friend who listens without judgment.
The partner who shows up, all in, and ready to tackle parenthood with you.
The family who encourages instead of critiques.
The community who says, “You’re doing amazing,” and means it.

And then there’s the support providers, like our team, who offer you unconditional support, care, and guidance.

Protect your peace and surround yourself with those who offer love, empowering support, and care.. You will become rooted, confident, and resilient. You’ll find your rhythm, trust your instincts, and realize you were NOT meant to do this alone.

Support doesn’t take away the hard parts — but it reminds you you’re not in them by yourself. And that changes everything. 💛

To all the moms rising stronger each day: we see you, we’re with you, and you are never alone.

Here are your three essential tips to support brea Here are your three essential tips to support breastfeeding in those early days!

❤️Skin-to-skin contact — Holding your baby against your bare chest helps regulate their temperature, heart rate, and breathing, but it also gives your body a powerful hormonal boost (especially oxytocin), which supports early milk production and bonding.
⠀
❤️Wide mouth + off-centered latch — A deep, asymmetrical latch helps your baby remove milk more effectively and protects your nipples from unnecessary friction. This reduces pain and helps prevent damage like cracks or blisters.
⠀
❤️Comfortable positioning — Whether you’re using laid-back, cradle, or football hold, your comfort matters! A relaxed position for both you and baby supports better milk flow and helps you settle into longer, more successful feeds.
⠀
Breastfeeding is natural, but it’s also a skill — and support makes a world of difference. You’ve got this, and I’m here to help! 💛

New Blog Posts!!! What’s the deal with a prenata New Blog Posts!!! What’s the deal with a prenatal appointment???

Most moms don’t realize they should absolutely have a prenatal lactation appointment! It should be standard care just like your prenatal OB/Midwife appointments.

Why???

Well, your prenatal appointments with your OB/Midwife aren’t only for if there’s something wrong. For many, everything is going just fine. But what happens when it’s not? They’re going to catch it before it becomes a more serious, more challenging concern to fix.

Same is true for lactation. If your body is making milk, you need to see us before challenges arise. We can prepare you for what to be on the lookout for and how to tackle all the “normal challenges” that most moms face as well as the less common, more complicated challenges.

Breastfeeding is “natural” but natural doesn’t = easy! Have the knowledge and the support you need before you’re in the thick of it because when you’re a sleep deprived new parent with a baby who doesn’t want to latch, you’ll want your lactation team on speed dial! ❤️

Reach out for info on how to get your free prenatal class or prenatal appointment.

Should you use pacifiers??? It’s not as straigh Should you use pacifiers???

It’s not as straightforward of an answer as some may make it seem! They can be used effectively as a tool, when used correctly. But they can also potentially cause some trouble. But with all the facts, parents can make the best decision on it and how to use them.

Here’s what we know…

Benefits of Pacifier Use
⭐️ Reduces the Risk of SIDS: Offering a pacifier at sleep times can reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends giving a pacifier to a baby before sleep, as it significantly lowers the risk of SIDS.

⭐️ Soothing and Comforting: Pacifiers satisfy the non-nutritive sucking reflex and help calm babies, providing comfort during times of stress or discomfort.

⭐️ Easier to Wean Than Thumb-Sucking: Pacifiers can be removed and phased out more easily than thumb-sucking, which is a habit harder to break since the thumb is always accessible.

⭐️ Supports Preterm Infants: For preterm infants, pacifier use can improve digestion and feeding readiness, and shorten hospital stays by promoting better sucking reflexes.

Risks of Prolonged Pacifier Use
🛑 Dental Issues: Extended use beyond 18 months can lead to misaligned teeth and other dental problems. The American Dental Association advises limiting pacifier use to prevent such issues.

🛑 Ear Infections: Prolonged pacifier use is associated with a higher incidence of otitis media (middle ear infections), especially after six months of age.

🛑 Speech Development Concerns: Continuous pacifier use may delay articulation and limit verbal practice, potentially impacting speech development.

🛑 Breastfeeding Interference: Introducing a pacifier before breastfeeding is well-established can interefere with latch efficiency and could cause low milk supply. It’s recommended to wait until breastfeeding is firmly established before introducing a pacifier.
